Codex Arcanum: Curse, Sticky Paw, Small Portal, Vertical Spike Ball

Make short work of anything that stands in your way.

Door? What door?

Curse

Realm: Water

Type: Enchantment

Abilities: Lowers the Health, Damage, and Armor of the target.

Tactical Report

Similar to Shrink, Curse lowers Health and Damage. However, there is one key difference to Curse. It also lowers the targets Armor. So if you are truly looking to cripple a foe, send a Curse their way. Plus you can curse those nasty Doors and Stones to find new paths!

The Adventure Begins October 24!

The Adventure Begins!

Four Realms is leaving Steam Early Access and entering full release on October 24! After roughly four years of development and the help of some awesome players, the game is nearing completion.

Of course what’s a release with out a trailer. Here is the fourth Warden trailer, the Little Spotted Kiwi!

Codex Arcanum: Alchemy, Barracks, Boulder, Ice Blast

All it costs is one Air Gem and a Spell List slot.

Haven’t you always wanted to make your own money?

Alchemy

Realm: Air

Type: Conjuration

Abilities: Creates Gold.

Tactical Report

To save the Four Realms you have to think about the big picture. You need gold to upgrade your Warden, rebuild settlements, and leave offerings. It’s the glue that smooths the journey. So if you can spare a spot on your Spell List you should add Alchemy. It will make the level harder as it limits your Spell options and costs Air Gems. However, if you can finish the level you’ll come out just a little further.

Demo v0.1.19 is here! Greenlit!

The Final Batch

The last set of animation rework has been done! Finally! I finished up the last bits of animations which included a Iguana Knight, Simple Mole, Blue Bird Jester, Anglerfish Merc, and the two current Guardians. Four months of work! It’s done! And it looks great! (Or at least better!)

Four Realms: Unsuccessful Kickstarter Postmortem

You’ve read it all before. “Kickstarters are hard work!” “The campaign is an emotional rollercoster!” “You meet so many amazing people!” I am here to tell you that is all true, but I want to shine a light on the more unspoken part of Kickstarters, especially for video games.

Most are unsuccessful. Everyone knows this, but those that don’t succeeded usually don’t do a write up. So here I am to help you make fewer of the bigger mistakes and shed some light on some of the less discussed facts. And I hope to add a few different perspectives for indies like me, the true garage indies. Working on a passion project with a shoestring budget and a prayer.
